Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral

By srrpenna - Posted on 21 July 2008

The Cathedral is normally open from 8.00am to 6.00pm, but closed at 5.00pm on Sundays in winter. There is no charge for admission but a contribution to the upkeep of the building would be appreciated. Guides are usually on duty to show you round and explain the mission of the Cathedral. Photography is permitted in the Cathedral except during Services. There is an underground car park which is open to all visitors from 8.00am – 6.00pm daily. There are also spaces for disabled drivers which are all clearly marked. In addition to the staircase a lift provides access to the Cathedral from the underground car park area.

The Bookshop is open from 10.00am - 5.00pm daily. Toilets are situated near the entrance.

The Cathedral is a short walk from Liverpool Lime Street station and is served by a number of buses from the city centre. Log onto www.merseytravel.gov.uk for comprehensive travel information, or call Traveline on 0870 608 2 608.
